Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 October 2026
The short version: use the generator freely, print and hand out whatever it produces — in your classroom, at home, in paid tutoring. Don't resell the tool itself. The pinyin is generated automatically, so check it before you rely on it.
1. Acceptance
By using Pinyin Worksheet Maker ("the site"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What you may do with generated worksheets
Worksheets you generate — printed on paper, saved as PDF, or shared as files — are yours to use. You may:
- print and distribute them to your own students, children, or tutees;
- use them in a classroom, tutoring business, homeschool, or study group;
- include them in teaching materials you charge for, as part of a lesson;
- modify the vocabulary and reprint them as often as you like.
No credit or attribution is required. You do not need to ask permission.
3. What you may not do
- Republish, resell, or redistribute the site itself, or a substantial copy of its code, design, or interface.
- Bundle generated worksheets into a competing worksheet-generator product, or sell them as a standalone digital download pack, without written permission.
- Use automated tools to overload, scrape, or interfere with the site.
- Use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
Selling a lesson that contains a worksheet is fine. Selling "500 printable pinyin worksheets" as a product is not — that is reselling the tool's output at scale rather than teaching with it.
4. Accuracy of pinyin
Pronunciations are produced automatically by a dictionary lookup. Chinese has many characters with multiple readings (多音字), and the correct reading depends on context that the software cannot always determine. Common examples include 长 (cháng / zhǎng), 行 (xíng / háng), and 重 (zhòng / chóng).
5. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and freedom from errors. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, that output will be free of mistakes, or that files will always render identically in every browser and printer.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including lost teaching time, printing costs, or reliance on an inaccurate worksheet. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site — which, for a free service, is zero.
7. Availability and changes
The site is free and has no service level commitment. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and may suspend the service. These terms may be updated; the date at the top of this page will change when they are.
8. Advertising and affiliate links
The site is supported by advertising and may contain affiliate links. Affiliate relationships are disclosed wherever those links appear, and they have no effect on what the generator produces.
9. Intellectual property
The site's name, layout, code, and written content remain our property. Third-party open-source libraries are used under their respective licences. Your vocabulary lists remain yours; we never receive a copy of them.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your own country of residence.
